About Me

Anne Hatmaker Delgado began her Suzuki violin studies at the age of three at the Preucil School, and was nurtured in a rich musical environment provided by parents who are music educators. She has been teaching violin privately for eight years and has experience teaching a wide-range of ages and skill levels.  She has studied with Mathias Tacke of the Vermeer Quartet as well as Catherine Van Hoesen, a member of the San Francisco Symphony. After playing violin with the Madison Symphony Orchestra in Wisconsin for thirteen years, she moved to California, and currently performs with  Modesto Symphony, Stockton Symphony and Sacramento Philharmonic.
Anne has degrees in education and  educational psychology, and completed Suzuki violin teacher training courses at institutes in Atlanta, Ithaca, and Northern California. She is also a member of the ASTA(American String Teachers Association)-Sacramento chapter, and serves as its treasurer. Her violin instruction currently takes place at her home and the Watermelon Music Store in Davis.
